Sylvestria Opens State-Operated Brewery and Bottling Cooperative
The Principality of Sylvestria is set to make a frothy debut into the world of brewing with the opening of its state-operated brewery. Focused on small-batch production for domestic enjoyment, the brewery’s first release, Tel Kappa Red, is a limited-run Irish Red Ale-inspired brew. With only five gallons produced, it marks a carefully measured start for what officials hope will become a beloved national institution.
Available beginning just in time for Pimm's Day on May 15th for just 15 LETZ per bottle, Tel Kappa Red is expected to be a hot commodity during the early summer days. While the current batch is limited, the brewery's manager hinted that a second run could be considered if demand proves strong. "We're testing the waters," he said. "But if Sylvestrians want more, we’re ready to listen."
This venture is part of Sylvestria’s broader campaign to promote domestic industry and self-sufficiency. Three additional brews are already in the planning stages for release later in 2025, including a Belgian-style Dubbel, a stout, and a fruit-infused mead known as a melomel.
The brewery's opening underscores Sylvestria’s ongoing commitment to creating unique, homegrown alternatives to imported goods, particularly from the United States. With the launch of Tel Kappa Red, Sylvestria raises a toast to craftsmanship, community, and national pride.
