The Principality of Sylvestria's National Assembly convened last week in a historic first session to discuss and adopt a new national charter, aiming to restore political stability and reaffirm the nation's core values in the wake of the Ancient and Celestial Order of Tel Kappa's dissolution. The assembly, comprised of all Sylvestrian citizens aged 16 and over, voted unanimously to accept the proposed charter, known formally as the Fundamental Law of the Principality of Sylvestria.
The Ancient and Celestial Order of Tel Kappa, a once-esteemed institution, was recently exposed for subverting Sylvestrian customs and traditions, as well as rigging the forthcoming election of the Prince of the Sylvestrians. This revelation led to the order's dissolution, the expulsion of its members from Sylvestrian society, and the establishment of the National Assembly as a new legislative body.
The Director General, now serving as the Regent until an election may be conducted safely, presented the first draft of the charter. The approved document outlines the framework for a new government, economy, and educational system, as well as guidelines for foreign affairs. The Fundamental Law of the Principality of Sylvestria is a robust document with 40 articles that are exclusively focused on outlining the rights and duties of its citizens.
