Science Industry and Agriculture
The Bureau of Science Industry and Agriculture is responsible for overseeing and fostering the development and integration of scientific research, industry, and agriculture to support the welfare of the Sylvestrian People and the development of the nation.
Royal Sylvestrian Geographical Society
The establishment of the Royal Sylvestrian Geographical Society predates the founding of the Principality of Sylvestria. Originally founded in 2014 as the Florenceburgh Geographical Society, the organization was renamed in 2023.
The RSGS remains dedicated to expanding humanity's knowledge of the world through research, exploration, and discovery. Previous expeditions have taken members from Patagonian glaciers and Icelandic volcanoes to archeological dig sites in North America and beyond.

In partnership with the United Republic of Obscurium, the RSGS will participate in the Intermicronational Year of Exploration. Sylvestria's Medal for Excellence in Exploration, commonly referred to as the "Explorer's Medal", recognizes micronationalists who have demonstrated excellence in exploration, discovery, or geographical research. Nominate a deserving micronational explorer by completing the form here.

The RSGS has several expeditions planned for 2025. Read past trip reports below, or view videos of major expeditions via Youtube at www.youtube.com/@TheSylvestrians.
Agency for Agricultural and Industrial Development
Our mission is to create a robust and sustainable foundation for Sylvestria’s future by driving the growth of its agricultural and industrial sectors. We aim to achieve this by:
- Encouraging innovation and modern practices in agriculture to enhance food security and reduce our reliance on imports.
- Promoting the development of cottage industries to boost the local economy and provide employment opportunities.
- Fostering an environmentally conscious approach to industrial growth that preserves our natural resources for generations to come.
- Building strategic partnerships to facilitate knowledge exchange and resource sharing.
- Harnessing solar and wind energy to power Sylvestria's future growth.

At the heart of our current operations is the Royal Sylvestrian Center for Subsistence Studies, a state-sponsored research facility with four test beds and a small greenhouse. Here, we conduct vital experiments in agricultural practices and vegetable production. Current projects include the development of aquaponic lettuce production, propagation of fruit trees to diversify and enrich our agricultural landscape, composting techniques to improve soil fertility and reduce waste, and the production of a reliable supply of fresh, locally-grown produce.

We encourage international participation in Sylvestria's Micronational Seed Bank. Micronational partners such as the Republic of Galvonia and the Kingdom of Mattonia have supported the Sylvestrian Seed Bank by donating seeds and assisting with propagation rate testing. Reach out to us if you are interested in supporting this initiative.
Agency for Space Exploration and Research
The Sylvestrian Agency for Space Exploration and Research (SASER) is dedicated to expanding Sylvestria's knowledge of meteorology, astronomy, and aviation.

Major current focus areas for the agency include drone operations, zero gravity agricultural simulations, the domestic development of a reliable solid-state rocket fuel, and production of telemetry payloads for data collection.

Future goals include the domestic production of solid fuel rockets capable of carrying camera payloads to 1000 feet above sea level, using high-altitude balloons to send domestically produced, scientific payloads to near space, and communication with weather satellites.
